How to Remove Your Seats in Base
Context:

Addressing Fluctuations in Your Team Size
Problem:
Teams change over time; members come and go. If you find your team has reduced in size, you might be left with unused seats in your Base account. What can you do to adjust your seat count to better fit your current team size?
Base’s Solution:
Base acknowledges the dynamic nature of teams and provides a simple process to reduce your seat count, ensuring you're not paying for what you don't need.
Step-by-Step Guide: Reducing Your Seat Count
1. Confirm Your Role:
Ensure you are logged in as the account owner. Only the owner has the necessary privileges to adjust the seat count.
2. Accessing Organization Settings:
Go to the bottom left corner of your Base interface.
Click on the organization selector.
Select the organization you wish to manage.
Choose “Organization Settings”.
3. Navigate to Billing:
Inside the “Organization Settings”, locate and click on the ‘Plan & Billing’ tab.
4. Adjusting the Seat Count:
In the billing section, you will find options related to seat management.
Look for “Remove Seats” button.
Here, you can view your current seat count and have the option to reduce it using the down arrow on the right.
If you are attempting to reduce the seat count below your current amount of users, you will be required to select one or more users that will be converted to a guest account when your plan renews. Do this using the check boxes next to the users.
Adjust the seat count to your desired number and confirm the changes with the ‘Update Seats’ button.
